Improving office routines - how to ensure healthy work positions in the office

Generally speaking, the best you can doat the office is to vary your routines. Change position often, make sure that you get up from your chair at regular intervals, if you have a sit-to-standdesk, use it (!), find somewhere else to sit when needing to read …

Your chair does not necessarily have toremain in the same position throughout the day. Change between high/low,locked/moveable seat etc.

In other words, go for dynamic working positions!

Of course, your work space should be designed to suit you. The Occupational Health and Safety Committee at LIFE has laid down a standard for office equipment based on legislative requirements and LIFE’s own requirements in this area. The standard can be used to find out whether the dimensions and layout of permanent office work spaces are acceptable. Moreover, the standard provides relevant guidelines in connection with refurbishments and new acquisitions.

The standard is currently only available in Danish. Please contact your occupational health and safety representative if you need help.
