Digital payslip
As you may already be aware, the Danish Agency for Governmental Management has introduced digital pay slips in the public sector.
Your pay slips will automatically be delivered to e-Boks, where they will be deposited for an unlimited period of time unless you delete them yourself.
E-Boks is a personal archive, which means that no one other than you can gain access to your pay slip. From e-Boks you can print out the pay slip if you choose, or save it in a local drive, or send it to your private e-mail address. If you are already subscribed to e-Boks, no change will be necessary. The use of e-Boks is free of charge.
Receiving your pay slip in digital form means you will not have to deal with piles of paper or lost pay slips.
You can gain access to your digital pay slip from any PC with an Internet connection, using “Den Fælles Pinkode” (Common PIN Code) or your digital signature, where this is installed.
Your pay slips in e-Boks can be deleted after five years.
The digital pay slip is quicker to access than the paper version.
Last but not least, the University of Copenhagen will save a considerable amount of postage.
According to fiscal legislation, the employer must give employees notice of the amount of tax withheld at source (A-skat), which is done via the pay slip. In the transition to digital pay slips, the employer must consequently give employees notice that, with effect from this transition, they will receive information on tax in a readable medium other than the former pay slips on paper.
The pay slip must be sent to a central electronic mailbox or other location at which the employee can obtain access to the information, and the employer must ensure the employee’s access to the pay slip.
As already mentioned, the University of Copenhagen must ensure that you can obtain access to your digital pay slip. This means that if you cannot obtain access to your digital pay slip in your e-Boks via your private PC, you must be provided with the possibility of gaining access to the digital pay slip at e-Boks via a PC at your workplace, and the opportunity to print out the pay slip. This must take place in a confidential manner.
Questions regarding pay slips should be directed to the Salaries and Wages Section, tel. 3532 2626 (switchboard). State your social security (CPR) number and place of work, and you will be put through to the Salaries and Wages Section.
