Welcome to DSR (The LIFE Students’ Association) and LIFE to new students

What is the LIFE Students’ Association (in Danish abbreviated DSR)

DSR is the student council at LIFE. We are an umbrella organisation for all LIFE’s student unions and associations and represent cross-disciplinary interests, student policy interests and the interest of the individual student to the public and to the managements of the Faculty and the University. DSR consists of lot of social and political committees, some of which require you to be elected and others are open for you to join.

 

Who are we?

The day-to-day running of DSR is the responsibility of the Executive Committee (Forretningsudvalget) which consists of five students, one from each student union, in cooperation with the head of our secretariat, who is called Lone, and the employees in DSR’s shop. The Executive Committee is part of DSR’s governing body (DSRs Hovedbestyrelse), with members elected at our General Assembly in November.

 

We would really like to have student representatives from as many different years and study programmes as possible in the Hovedbestyrelsen governing body and hope to see many of you new students at the General Assembly.

 

Why?

If students politics seem a little overwhelming at first, we hope that you will instead consider joining one of the social committees, as this is a fantastic way to get to know your fellow students and your study programme. LIFE is a great place to study and it will be even more fun if you help shape it.
