New principle for over-subscribed courses in the late registration period

If a course that is only open to a limited number of students is over-subscribed, students will no longer be placed on a waiting list.

Instead, students can register for the course at sb.life.ku.dk if a place becomes available because a fellow student cancels his/her registration.

As a student you should:

  • Remember to cancel your registration for a course if you do not want to take part after all! In that way, one of your fellow students can take your place instead.
  • Keep an eye out for available places at sb.life.ku.dk.
  • Be sure to be present from the start of the course, so that the course co-ordinator can get a real impression of the number of course participants.
  • Contact the course coordinator if you would like to have a chance to avail yourself of a place, should one arise in an otherwise oversubscribed course.

Course coordinators should note the following changes:

  • You will no longer receive waiting lists from Study and Students’ Affairs.
  • You will need to decide if, during the first week of the course, you will let other students take part in the course if some of the students registered for the course do not appear. On paper/in Absalon this will mean over-subscription. If you wish to do so, please hand in a list to Study and Students’ Affairs on Friday in the first week of the course with the student id-number(s) and name(s) of the student(s) you wish to have added to the registration list.
