Rector extends the input phase and guarantees jobs in 2012

The deadline for inputs to the plans for the reorganisation of the so-called ”wet” faculties has been prolonged till 28 October. Rector is also willing to provide a guarantee that there will be no dismissals in 2012 as a consequence of a reconstruction of the faculties.

 

Last Thursday, the timetable for creating a new structure for the faculties of Life Sciences, Science, Health Sciences and Pharmaceutical Sciences (LIFE, SCIENCE, HEALTH and PHARMA) was discussed at a meeting of the General Collaboration Committee’s special monitoring group. The group monitors the process, with special focus on the personnel consequences. At the meeting, it was emphasised that the Deans’ rough draft is a draft, and that there is a need for everyone to think creatively. If there are better suggestions, they need to be put forward. The employee representatives therefore wanted an extension of the deadline for input.
