Naming Contest

Take part in a contest to come up with a catchy new name for the merged LIFE and SCIENCE faculties - a name which is precise and one which communicates what the faculty stands for. The winner walks away with a new iPAD!

 

What should be the name of a new SCIENCE-LIFE faculty?

In December of 2011, the University of Copenhagen board will decide on whether or not the Faculty of Life Sciences and the Faculty of Science will merge into a single faculty. If the merger proceeds, the faculty will need a suitable name, one which is concise, precise and describes what the faculty stands for in relationship to students, the research world, the business community, the public sector and the wider public.

 

If you have a suggestion for a name, please fill out a form at KUnet and submit it by October 10. You are welcome to suggest a name in both Danish and English and also to include an acronym for the faculty (like LIFE or SCIENCE).

 

The winner will be awarded an iPAD. If there are numerous submissions with the same winning suggestion, one will be selected from a lottery to determine who walks away with the iPAD. The same will occur if there is no winning suggestion.

 

Executive management at LIFE and SCIENCE will make a subsequent recommendation to the Rectorate about what the name of the new faculty should be.
