Forest Day 2011 at Danish Forestry College on Sunday 8 May
Coming eye to eye with the forest
The Danish Nature Agency in northern Zealand and Forest & Landscape Danish Forestry College welcome you to Forest Day 2011 on Sunday 8 May at 10.00-15.00. To mark the United Nations’ International Year of Forests, we are organising a variety of different activities under the theme of ‘coming eye to eye with the forest’.
What you experience when coming eye to eye with the forest of course depends on the eyes that see! During Forest Day 2011, you can have a bird’s-eye view of the forest from the Danish Forestry College’s new tree hut which has been installed 13 metres above ground. Or you can experience the forest at a more normal eye level while shooting with bows and arrows, going on a treasure hunt, horse-riding or canoeing.
This year being the United Nations’ International Year of Forests, we will be organising lots of activities to do with the forest, including guided tours of the Danish Forestry College, music and sustainable food.
