Climate Change Researchers Day - Call for abstracts extended until 10 October

 

Climate Change Impact, Adaptation and Mitigation

Researchers’ Day, November the 15th 2011

  • To present an overview of Danish knowledge within climate change research related to global climate change challenges, and
  • To increase cooperation between climate change researchers from different disciplines including natural, social, health and economic sciences

The Climate Change Task Force (DWF, DDRN and Enreca Health) is organizing a one-day seminar with plenary presentations and discussions followed by sessions comprising of presentations of ongoing research (also PhD) projects on climate change focusing on global challenges and issues for developing countries. Send abstracts no later than October the 10th.

Examples of topics to cover are:

1. Land and water management and resources, including agriculture, rangelands, forests and groundwater.

2. Human and animal health

3. Economic drivers and sustainable coping strategies for climate change.

4. Urban poverty, urban/rural links and climate change

5. Low carbon energy development

6. Disaster management
