Researchers make the world's fastest ice cream?

Egg, cream, sugar and liquid nitrogen were among the ingredients in a new world record attempt. At a seminar on Molecular Gastronomy held at LIFE on 2 March, researchers tried to make tasty ice cream in seconds - and to beat the world record which is 10.34 seconds.

As you can see in the (Danish) tv feature on TV2 Lorry , Professor Peter Barham from Bristol University tried and was very fast but not fast enough.

The seminar was part of the research project 'Molecular Gastronomy - the scientific study of deliciousness and its physical and chemical basis' headed by professor Leif Skibsted from Department of Food Science at LIFE.
