How do you re-enter PhD salary?
BASICS
Remember to change the salary entry
As many of LIFE’s PhD scholars are employed under agreements involving three (or more) paying parties, it is very important for the departments to check that salary entries are changed in due time.
The conditions for the time periods are always described in the joint financing agreements. For example, the party paying for maternity/paternity leave etc. In this context, the wording of the signed agreement is always applicable.
There are many variations of a mixed payment process. One example could be:
Payment for one year from a project, one year from the LIFE pool and one year from the research training programme. In this case, the salary entry must be changed three times during the PhD programme.
Department must contact Salaries and Wages at Nørregade
The departments are responsible for contacting Salaries and Wages at Nørregade for salary re-entry such that, in the example above, the entry changes from project no. xxxxx (VT50) to project no. 06082 (LIFE pool) (VT10) and project no. 06085 (research training programme) (VT10).
Remember to notify LIFE’s Budget Office
In cases where the LIFE pool is co-financing a PhD programme (salary on project no. 06082), the Budget Office must always be notified by way of a copy of the information submitted.
In this context, it is stressed that re-entry of PhDs fully financed by the LIFE pool must not take place. In case of doubt, the Budget Office must always be contacted before a request for re-entry is made.
