Fat from cheese is healthier than butter - 21.11.2011
We often read warnings against eating too much animal fat. A study from LIFE – Faculty of Life Sciences has compared the cholesterol content in the blood caused by an intake of fat from cheese and butter, respectively. The results document that, contrary to butter, cheese does not affect the cholesterol concentration.
The study included 49 men and women who replaced part of their habitual dietary fat intake with 13% of energy from cheese or butter.
Details of the study have been published in the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition.
