Halls of Residence

Danish universities do not generally own student housing facilities. Danish students typically live at home, in private flats, or in one of the housing facilities available for young people in the Greater Copenhagen area. Accommodation for our international students and guests is therefore organized through public and private housing companies.

Options

LIFE Housing Department has access to several different halls of residence at this point. None of them are situated at Frederiksberg Campus. They are located in different areas of Copenhagen. Generally speaking, rooms in the halls of residence are either single rooms or double rooms. In the double room, there are two beds in one room, which is why the rent per person is typically lower than for single rooms. For more information about a particular residence hall, click on the name of the residence further down on this page. Please note that all halls of residence are self-catering and, therefore, you will be cooking your own food.

Is A Hall of Residence Right For Me?

When trying to decide if a hall of residence is the housing solution for you, you should keep in mind that it is a great way to meet people, there is always somebody around, and if you make an effort, this is a great opportunity to get to know people from many different countries.

However, you should be aware that all the people and the many activities can sometimes be overwhelming. So, if you prefer to study in your room and it has to be absolutely quiet, maybe a hall of residence is not the right place for you.

Price Range: Rents range from DKK 2800 to DKK 7400 per month depending on size, location, and equipment of the residence among other. When sharing a room with a fellow student the price range is DKK 2750 to DKK 4000 per month. Deposits are DKK 2000 per person. Utilities are included (except laundry in some residences). When and how rent and deposit must be paid will be indicated in your tenancy agreement. Please note: Prices may be subject to change. More information will follow with your tenancy agreement.
