Suggested questions:
- What are the possibilities for practical training in your company?
- I am looking for a student job where I can try out the theory in practice – do you have any openings?
- Would it be possible to spend a week of practical training in your company where I could follow one of your employees?
- I would like to write a thesis together with a company – is that possible in your company?
- I am very interested in XXX; is it possible to work with XXX in your company?
- Do you have a special introduction programme for new members of staff in your company?
- Can you tell me a bit about your company’s personnel policy, please?
- Are there any opportunities for continuing or in-service training in your company?
- What is the method of working in your company? Do you work in a project-oriented way and what about research and development?
- How is the physical framework of the company, how many people are employed in the company and that is the main product of the company?
- Who are the primary customers of the company?
- What are the latest developments in the company and in the business?
- What are the opportunities for an international career in the company?
- How are the career prospects in general?
- What is the company’s policy as regards children, flexibility etc?
- If I am to work for you in three years, what will be your professional and academic requirements?
- If I am to work in your company in three years, what other skills and competences do you require?
You also need to be ready to answer the companies’ questions!
So prepare a few answers to questions such as:
- Which parts of your study programme do you find particularly exciting?
- What are the three most important things you have learnt till now?
- What would be your dream occupation after your graduation?
- What is your bachelor project or MSc thesis about?
- Tell me a bit about yourself; what do you do in your leisure time?
